ESL Program Frequently Asked QuestionsHow much does it cost? One semester of the Finlandia ESL program costs approximately $12,205 for students living on campus and attending full-time (12-18 credits). Additional expenses may include books and specific academic department fees. How do I apply? Finlandia has a one-year ESL Certificate program and a two-year degree-seeking program. To find out which one is right for you, please contact an international advisor at international@finlandia.edu. Free International Student Online Application Where will I live? You'll stay in a modern, safe residence at Finlandia, with 24-hour staff supervision. Whenever possible, international students are assigned American roommates to help you learn English faster and better-adjust to American culture. Click the Residential Life link at the right to learn more about living in the Finlandia residence hall. When will I get my I-20? After you apply to Finlandia, an International Admissions team will review your documents. If you meet the entrance requirements, you will receive an acceptance letter, an I-20, and other important documents. When do I come to campus? August or January What are the important deadlines?
Can I stay at Finlandia to continue my undergraduate degree? Yes! You may pursue an associate or bachelor's degree at Finlandia in one of many programs, such as nursing, health sciences, business, art and design, or humanities. Your International Advisor will help you transition into a bachelor's or associate degree program. Can I study ESL at Finlandia and then transfer to another American university? Yes! The International Admissions staff will help you with all aspects of the transfer process. |
