What to Expect
Get your Snapchat ready, it’s going to be a fun day in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula!
Finlandia’s admissions staff is going to be leading half-hour long tours of campus. You’ll get to see Finlandia Hall’s spacious dorm rooms, the Jutila Center’s beautiful art studios, the three buildings where you’ll have class on a daily basis and of course our 2015-remodeled Paavo Nurmi Center.
Meet Classmates, Coaches and Professors
We’ll have a couple activities that will help you get to know your future classmates, host welcoming events with our professors and allow time for students to meet the coaches of several of our 12 NCAA Division III athletic programs.
It may not sound like the most exciting thing, but it’s vital to talk about as you plan for your future. We offer incredible entrance scholarships, including up to $7,500 for highly qualified students. We also freeze your tuition upon your first semester’s price, offer a scholarship for community service and have great scholarship opportunity for those from the U.P. In addition to all of that, one lucky attendee of Finlandia Preview Day will win a $500 scholarship.

Let’s Explore the Keweenaw
You’ve made it the Keweenaw. It’s time to make the best of it. Below are some of our favorite activities to take advantage of in October.
A visit to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula in October isn’t complete without a color tour. Chairlift rides at Mount Bohemia and Mont Ripley will likely be in full effect offering picturesque views. You could also take the family out for a ride down M-203 to McLain’s State Park, or down the Portage Lake Shipping Canal on the Houghton side and ride to Covered Road.
We’d love to answer any questions you have on this! Contact your admissions officer below.
