About Finlandia University

Founded in 1896 as Suomi College. Finlandia University is a private, not-for-profit, co-educational liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It is located in the city of Hancock, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Finlandia is a learning community dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service. Fully accredited since ‘07

The Finlandia University RN-BSN Completion program is fully accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Finlandia has been an accredited nursing school continuouly since the 1980s, with the BSN originally accredited in 2007. the accreditation was last renewed in 2011, and is good through 2022.
