Finlandia University’s Suomi College of Arts and Sciences (SCAS) will be hosting a lecture series showcasing four assistant professors from mid-March until early April in the Chapel of St.Matthew. The Assistant Professors presenting include Dr. Jeff Pettibone (Psychology), Dr. Patricia Grosse (Philosophy), Dr. Mike Reay (Sociology), and Dr. Carolyn Dekker (English). The lectures are free and open to the public.

TRIO Talent Search Awards 19 Summer Youth Program Scholarships

19 students from the Copper Country ISD, Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD and Forest Park Schools have been awarded scholarships to attend Summer Youth Programs at Michigan Technological University. Active participants in TRIO Talent Search 9th, 10th and 11th grades were encouraged to apply. Each scholarship is valued at $1000, which covers the cost of registration, room & board, transportation and any lab fees.
