Timo Koskinen spent several years traveling around American working at a variety of jobs, which included logging, construction, roofing, farm work, driving snow-cats at ski areas, grounds crew maintenance, and truck driving. After earning an M.A. in English/Creative Writing at Colorado State University, he has taught for many years at Finlandia University (formally Suomi College). Regarding interests and hobbies, he describes himself as a “jack of all trades, master of none.” These activities include writing, reading, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking in mountainous areas, cutting firewood, building log houses, watching quality films, traveling back roads of unfamiliar regions, and listening to folk/blues music.
