Dr. Rellahan’s research has focused on comparative politics between the United States Congress and the Finnish Parliament. She studies social and political policymaking as well as the role of women in government. She was a Fulbright Senior Fellow to the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. She has presented her research in various forums, including the North American Studies Association in Helsinki and the Southern Political Science Association. She received Teacher of the Year award from Hawaii Pacific University and from the American Political Science Association.
