QuickBooks Accounting Software
Is Focus of Fall Business Class
HANCOCK, MI - Running a profitable business requires more
than simply tracking revenues. To make sound decisions and maintain a
competitive edge, businesses need to track costs, customers, and vendors;
manage inventory; and analyze financial data.
QuickBooks, accounting software widely used by organizations
of all kinds and sizes, can help with these essential management tasks.
Community members are invited to audit a Finlandia
University Business course that focuses on learning QuickBooks.
The 15-week course, Accounting Systems (BUS 350), will meet in
the computer lab at Finlandia's Maki Library, which is in Wargelin Hall, on Tuesday
evenings from 6:10 to 8:30, starting August 30. The cost for community members to
audit the course is $150.00.
Finlandia assistant professor of accounting Sharon Cuffe, M.S.B.A.,
a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, will teach the course. Prior QuickBooks
experience is not required. For non-degree-seeking students, the only prerequisite
is that attendees are familiar with basic accounting concepts.
For additional information about the QuickBooks course and to
register, please contact Sharon Cuffe at 906-487-7359 or
sharon.cuffe@finlandia.edu.
