DuTemple and Oyler to Sign
"Stars in the Water" June 18 at North Wind Books
HANCOCK, MI - Award-winning author Lesley DuTemple and artist
Jack Oyler will sign copies of the book "Stars in the Water" Saturday, June 18,
1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Finlandia University's North Wind Books, Hancock.
Written by DuTemple, Stars in the Water is a storybook for
children of all ages. It tells three magical stories of the North Woods-Coyote's
Star, The Fire Deer, and The Water Star.
The stories are illustrated by photographs of a series of original
three-dimensional woodcuts by Jack Oyler of Calumet, Mich., which were specifically
commissioned for the book. Several of the original artworks will be on display
at the book signing.
DuTemple, of Eagle River, Mich., is the author of more than
two dozen children's books, ranging from pre-school (One Little Balsam Fir)
through high school reading level (The Complete Idiot's Guide to Life Science).
Stars in the Water was published in April 2011 by Mudminnow
