Finlandia to Host an Evening of Live Music and Fun Friday, August 27

HANCOCK, MI - Finlandia University will host an evening of music and fun for students and the community Friday, August 27, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., on the lawn of the former Hancock Middle School, next to the Finnish American Heritage Center.

The free "Finlandia Fest" event marks the start of the new academic year with time to socialize, celebrate, meet new friends, and find out more about Finlandia services and student clubs.

Local musicians will perform four sets of live music. Featured are The Adventures of Deryll (5:00 to 6:00), Randy Wakeham (6:00 to 7:00), Muted Ending (7:00 to 8:00), and Can I Get an Amen (8:00 to 9:00).

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Finlandia Fest is sponsored by Finlandia Student Life and the university's Campus Enrichment Committee.
