TRiO Academic Support for Eligible Finlandia Students
HANCOCK, MI - New and returning students enrolled this fall at Finlandia University may qualify for a full range of free academic support services through the university's (TRIO) Student Support Services program.
The (TRIO) Student Support Services program is fully funded for the 2010-2011 academic year by a $295,767 grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Annually, the program provides up to 180 eligible Finlandia students with academic and personal counseling, tutoring, career assistance, financial literacy education, and a variety of other helpful services.
Finlandia students eligible for (TRIO) Student Support Services are first generation college students (neither parent has completed a four-year degree); and/or have financial need (as determined by an individual's or family's taxable income); or have a documented physical or learning disability; and have academic need.
