Finlandia Spring Choral Concert Is Thursday, April 22

HANCOCK, MI - As the Spring semester begins to wind down, the pressure is on for the Finlandia University Singers as they gear up for a spring concert.

The choral group will perform music of many genres Thursday, April 22, 5:30 p.m., at Finlandia's Chapel of St. Matthew.

Listeners can look forward to everything from ragtime music and traditional Korean folk songs to songs that will make you smile or bring tears to your eyes.

The University Singers' spring concert also features the premiere of a new Finlandia Alma Mater song, "Finlandia! Finlandia!" recently composed by university chaplain Soren Schmidt.

The Finlandia University Singers are directed by Soren Schmidt and accompanied by Carla Phillips.

A reception will follow the concert. There is no charge to attend and all are welcome.
