Find out what it will take to make your dream a reality. Bring your ideas, questions, and creativity to a small business workshop November 12, 2009, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Finlandia University Jutila Center, 200 Michigan St., Hancock.
The purpose of the workshop is to guide future entrepreneurs in the creation of their dream business. Topics will include business vision, marketing, customer service, cash flow, and other topics participants may want information about. A booklet will be provided that will include information about preparing for a business loan.
This workshop is the first of a series of regularly scheduled Upper Peninsula entrepreneurial workshops which The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center (MISBTDC) has contracted with The E Loft to develop.
Dar Shepherd, co-founder of The E Loft, an entrepreneurial business center in Marquette, Mich., will lead the workshop. As a business coach since 1994, Shepherd has consulted with more than a thousand entrepreneurs.
Shepherd has envisioned, created, owned, and operated six businesses in Marquette, Mich., for which she was responsible for store concept development, merchandising, layout, marketing, hiring, training, trade shows, and more.
The workshop is sponsored by the Finlandia University Jutila Center for Global Design and Business, the MISBTDC, and The E Loft.
