FU Women's Basketball is in the Pink Zone

HANCOCK, MI - The Finlandia University women's basketball team is participating in "Pink Zone" week, sponsored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

At this Saturday's home contest against Northland Baptist Bible College, starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Paavo Nurmi Athletic Center, Hancock, Finlandia women's basketball players will continue their month-long support of breast cancer awareness by wearing pink shoelaces and pink warm-up shirts. The coaches are also showing their support by wearing pink wristbands.

Fans are likewise encouraged to support the cause this Saturday by wearing pink, making donations for cancer research, and bidding on a pink warm-up shirt autographed by the women's basketball team.  All donations and proceeds from the autographed shirt will go to the Kay Yow / WBCA Cancer Fund.
