Lynn Gaunt Is Coordinator of Admissions Programs

Lynn Gaunt has been appointed interim coordinator of admissions programs at Finlandia University.

Although new to Finlandia, Gaunt brings a wealth of experience from her varied leadership roles and a background in education. She will be working closely with associate director of admissions Kitti Loukus, Admissions staff, and academic deans to increase the number, quality, and diversity of student applications.

Additional priorities for Gaunt include developing articulation agreements with community colleges in Michigan and neighboring states, and developing relationships with local high schools, businesses and organizations.

Gaunt has a bachelor of science in sociology/social studies, a secondary teaching certificate, and elementary education endorsement from Northern Michigan University. She recently worked in the Admissions office at Siena Heights University, Adrian, Mich., and has additional employment experience as a coach, assistant camp director, tutor, and counselor.
