Get Wealthy February 16 at Jutila Center Open House

HANCOCK, MI - Get rich this spring ... in wellness, that is.

On Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the wellness-centered small businesses at the Finlandia University Jutila Center, Hancock, will host an open house.

"The services and products provided by the Jutila Center wellness businesses cover so many aspects related to staying healthy in mind and body," says Bonnie Holland, director of the Jutila Center for Global Design and Business.

"From massage and acupuncture, to herbal medicine and nutrition analysis, to life coaching and personal counseling, and salon services and orthotics, whether you are working on getting well or looking for options to maintain and improve your spirit of well-being, you'll enjoy learning more about the health options available at the Jutila Center."

Healthy, delicious snacks will be available from local chefs at 5th and Elm Coffee House, Kangas Café and Catering, Keweenaw Co-op Natural Foods Market & Deli, Portage Health, and Rodeo Mexican Kitchen.

Throughout the four-hour open house, drop-in Zumba dance and tai chi classes will be held. Wellness screenings and demonstrations will be offered by Finlandia University nursing, physical therapist assistant, and certified medical assistant students.

Participating Jutila Center Annex businesses are Serenity Wellness, Bare Image, and Peters Orthotics.

Participating businesses in the Jutila Center main building are Calm Awakening Massage, Copper Island Athletic Edge LLC, Expanding Hearts Wellness, Free Spirit Health & Wellness, Healthy Solutions For Life, Indigo Creek Counseling Center, Integrated Brain Music, Keweenaw Acupuncture, Myofascial Release Therapy, NorthStar Employee Assistance Program, Peace of Joy, Preventive Health Maintenance, Reflex Works, Sarology Salon, Upper Peninsula Family Solutions, and Western U.P. Families First.

Open house activities will take place in both the main Jutila Center building and the adjacent Jutila Center Annex. The Jutila Center is located at 200 Michigan Street, Hancock. The Jutila Center Annex is adjacent to the main building at 920 Water Street.
