Finlandia Baseball Doubleheader Vs. Michigan Tech Will Showcase 2011 Recruiting Class

Hancock, MI. - September 30, 2010:  Finlandia University Baseball coach Steve Lishinski will get his first look at the Lions' talented 14 player recruiting class during their annual fall-ball doubleheader against Michigan Tech on Saturday, October 9th. The first pitch is set for 12:00 at the Hancock Driving Park.

The 14 player class joins 6 returning letter-winners in preparation for the March 2011 season-opener in Fort Myers, Florida.

In addition to the baseball game, Coach Lishinski would like to announce a community service yard cleaning project for the week of October 10th through October 15th. The Finlandia baseball players and coaching staff will rake and bag leaves during the evenings, but the homeowners will be responsible for hauling them away. For anyone interested, there will be a sign-up sheet at the games on October 9th, or you can contact Coach Lishinski at He is also available by phone at 487-7534.  According to Coach Lishinski, "Donations will be accepted, but not required."
